Channel Evangelism Starts Today

Channel resellers and service providers that have struggled to engage new customers and promote their offerings got some needed advice at a panel discussion headed by Nine Technology Senior VP Gene Fay on Tuesday. The conversation, which took place at the MSPWorld conference and exhibition (collocated with IT EXPO) in Austin, featured tips and action items for channel businesses looking to start a social media strategy to market their services.

The session, entitled “The Gospel According to MSP: Spreading Your Message through Your Customers”, drew a substantial crowd to the conference hall, many of whom were uncertain how social media could affect their businesses.

“A properly-planned and conducted social media strategy can have a phenomenal effect on a managed service business,” said Fay after the panel discussion. “I was glad that I had the opportunity to show these business owners what they could do today to start that ball rolling down the hill.”

Joining Fay on the panel were Arjun Moorthy, VP of business development at Hubspot; and Jamshaid Hashmi, VP of franchise development at WSI Digital Marketing. Both Moorthy and Hashmi added valuable suggestions to business owners looking for advice.

“Arjun and Jam were instrumental in demonstrating to the audience that these marketing opportunities were available to them immediately,” Fay said of his colleagues on the panel. “It was a privilege to work with them to educate our audience.”
