After the initial backup, Powered By Nine® offerings never need to reset themselves with a full system procedure.

The architecture and deduplication algorithms that bolster Nine Technology’s solutions operate hand-in-hand with the incremental forever policies. The program client searches for blocks that have changed since the previous backup operation and compares those block signatures against the back-end to determine if the changes need to be sent over the wire to the data center. Once this deduplication step is complete, only those unique blocks are transmitted.

By never requiring any additional full system backups, Powered By Nine® solutions require less bandwidth and back-end space to accomplish the same level of protection. And partners hosting their own cloud solution can realize the full benefits of this policy, as their hosted back-end infrastructure will be taxed less to protect clients and end-users.
